Good Russian and Eastern European food store, smaller than Royal Market 3 blocks east, clean, brightly lit, snappy and efficient. I go mainly for prepared foods and snacks. The soups are nice.

Local Russian market in Richmond. This place reminds me of New York a little bit, everyone speaks Russian and endless selections of Russian food and snacks.

I go there once in a while to get some Russian candy from my childhood. Last time I went, there were pigeons eating the grapes from the outside food bins.
Grapes that people will buy and eat!
Gross!
I told the cashier, she just laughed.
I will still go there to buy packaged items, but I will never buy fresh produce or even their deli items.
If they don't care about pigeons eating their produce outside, I doubt they care about the varmints that are inside their store. -

A solid Russian-oriented deli with lots of meats, cheeses, baked goods, and prepared items. There is also a modest grocery and snack selection although if you want a place that's less deli and more full-on Russian grocery store, that'd be Royal Market just down the street.
Perhaps the biggest hidden gem here is the most extensive selection of beers from Russia and Eastern Europe that I've seen anywhere in the Bay Area so far. Vastly more than, say, BevMo or Total Wine. You've got selections from Estonia, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, among other countries.
Prices on these beers are also reasonable and, at least judging by their expiration dates, they haven't been sitting in the fridge for years. A most welcome find for beer connoisseurs like me! -

Do you love cheese, salami, fish, pickles? Their Syrniki is TO DIE FOR!!! Great caviar as well, you can also order dishes from the back kitchen special ordered for group dining. The owner used to own L'Oliver french restaurant which is now the Heritage right next door. If you are in the bay area and wish to eat some good old fashion russian food, you have hit the homebase.
